Leadership

Leadership is a concept which is used by the church and the world, but we should not assume that Christians know and understand the world about the concept is identical.
Also we should not adhere to secular management models without first examining it thoroughly, whether in accordance with Christianity or not. Because Jesus taught a style entirely new leadership like never before.

He stated the difference between the leadership of the old and new in the sense as follows: "You know, that they called the government of nations ruled his subjects with an iron hand, and magnifying, magnifying its power with a strong run over them. It is not so among you, who want to become great among you, let him be your servant, and whoever wants to be the foremost among you, let him be a servant to all. For the Son of man came not to be served but to serve and give His life a ransom for many "(Mark 10:42-45).

For the followers of Jesus, the leader is not synonymous with being the master. Our call is to serve, not to master. Our call is to be a servant and not become king of kings. It is true, leadership is impossible without a certain authority. Without it can not lead anyone, not even the apostles, they are given Jesus' authority and they exercise authority to teach and educate them in obedience to the church.

Also on today's church pastors, although they are not apostles and do not have apostolic authority, must be respected because of their position as "leader" of the church, 1 Thessalonians 5:12 says: "We ask you, brethren, that you should respect those who work hard among you, who lead you in the Lord and who began to rebuke you, and that you should earnestly honor their love for their work. Live always in peace one with another.

even in Hebrews 13:17 must be obeyed: "Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they keep watch over your souls, as those who must be responsible for it ... ... ..."
However, emphasis is placed on the authority of Jesus is not the leader but on-ruling leader-servant humility. Authority by which the Christian leader leads is not power but love, not violence but an example, not coercion but persuasion.
Leaders have power, but power is only safe in the hands of those who humble themselves to serve. The main danger is contained in the leadership of arrogance. The model of leadership style pharisaism no place in the new society being built Jesus. They love to be different levels, such as expressed in the title of "Father, Rabbi, Rabbi" and it's an insult, either against God, the only one who is entitled to that title, as well as against the Christian brotherhood, which the procurement of distinction to be divided.

In the Gospel of Matthew 23:1-12 says: Then said Jesus to the crowds and to His disciples, saying: "The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. Therefore hold fast and do everything they teach you, but do not obey their deeds, because they teach it but do not do it.

They bind heavy burdens, and then put it on the shoulders of people, but they themselves do not want to touch it. All the work they do is meant to be seen of men: they use a prayer rope wide and long tufts; they like to sit in an honored place in the banquet and at the forefront in the synagogue, they like to receive the honor in the market and likes to be called Rabbi.

But you, do you called Rabbi: for one is your Rabbi and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth father, for one is your Father, Him who is in heaven. Do you also called a leader, because only one Guide, even Christ.
The biggest Whoever among you, let him be your servant. And whoever exalts himself, he will be humbled and he who humbled himself shall be exalted.
Let us use the cloak of humility, and serve one another in love, no Christian leadership that can be called authentic, if not marked by a spirit of humility and service with joy.
